This relay makes the turn signals and emergency flashers work. Before changing this relay make sure you have power into the relay by using a test light. This 12 volt 3 prong flasher fits: Beetle 1971 to 1979- Ghia 1972 to 1974- Bus 1971 to 1979- type 3 1971 to 1973- Vanagon 1980 to 1992
