Description
The needle and seat assemblies of most Performance carburetors can sufficiently control fuel pressure up to about 3-4 psi. If the fuel pump is putting out more than 4 psi, a regulator should be used to keep the fuel pressure within safe limits and avoid the possibility of flooding.
Fuel pressure Regulators are used to adjust for fuel pressure requirements of various carburetors. Too much fuel pressure for a given needle and seat assembly may cause flooding or driveability problems.
