This CSP Products IRS kit for Type-2 Bus (Split Screen) up to '67 improves the driving safety and lowers the vehicle by at least 50 mm.
The driving stability of old VW Buses is not the best, which has to do mainly with the rear swing axle. Load changes can cause dangerous body roll, a reason why Volkswagen changed the undercarriage to IRS on the second Bus generation. With this CSP Products kit, you can convert a first generation Bus to independent rear suspension. But remember that the assembly requires welding! We therefore recommend the installation by experienced amateurs or professionals only.
In addition to this kit, IRS arms of a Beetle or Karmann Ghia are required.
Also, we offer the specially modified brake cables.
