Description
Replace a weak, worn, or failed rear hatch strut with this replacement rear hatch support strut for 1980-1992 Vanagon models. A tired hatch strut can allow the rear hatch to sag, slowly fall, or fail to stay open, making loading, unloading, and engine-area access inconvenient or unsafe.
This gas-charged hatch strut is designed to help support the rear hatch in the open position. It fits the left or right side of the rear hatch, and two struts are required per vehicle.
Important Note: This strut is sold individually. For best results, rear hatch struts should normally be replaced in pairs so both sides provide even support.
