Designed as a reinforced replacement case for select early Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, and Bus swing axle applications, this case is a great starting point for performance, off-road, drag race, sand car, and high-strength street transmission builds.
The Rhino-style case features extra-deep cast webbing and built-in reinforcement for added strength compared with a standard transmission case. The additional material and ribbing help support high-performance use where a stock-style case may not be the best choice.
This aluminum case is designed for 1961-1969 style Beetle, Karmann Ghia, and Type 3 swing axle transmissions using a 4-bolt pinion bearing, and 1961-1967 Bus swing axle applications. It is also commonly used by transmission builders for custom high-performance VW-based driveline setups.
